BEEBE — Regan Keesee and Brooklyn Trammell each had two hits in the first game and Megan Chism allowed just one run in the pitcher’s circle in the second game as the Bryant Lady Hornets’ junior varsity team played their first games of the 2016 season on Monday.
Bryant tied the Beebe Badgers’ JV team 3-3 in the first contest then romped to a 12-1 win in the nightcap.
The first game went five innings with Shelby Stuckey pitching. In the second game, the Lady Hornets pounded the ball in support of Chism.
The Bryant JV is scheduled to play again on Thursday at home against White Hall in a pair of five-inning games.
The Bryant varsity returns to action on Friday against Maumelle in the first round of a tournament at Sylvan Hills.
