Shaelyn Smith had nine kills and Reagan Blend had seven as the Bryant Lady Hornets’ junior varsity team bounced back from a first-set loss to earn a 2-1 win over the Siloam Springs Lady Panthers JV on Thursday night at the Hornets Nest.
Ashlyn Lee finished with 20 assists and the Lady Hornets compiled 23 kills. Jad’n Nichols had three to go with a solo block. Tori Allen added two kills. Lee and Riley Hall contributed one apiece.
Kasey Ward and Gabbie Bonvillain served up two aces each. Blend had one as well. Ward got in 18 of her 19 serves and Bonvillain was good on 8 of 10.
“We had a good night,” said Bryant head coach Beth Solomon. “The JV didn’t get started quite as quick as we wanted them to. We lost that first set but then bounced right back and took the next two.”
The score for Bryant was 21-25, 25-19, 15-10.
