LITTLE ROCK — Coming off two wins in their last three matches, the Bryant Lady Hornets freshman volleyball team traveled to Mount St. Mary Academy to take on the Mounties on Tuesday night and absorbed an 18-25, 14-25 setback.
“We played like we were tired,” said Bryant coach Lawrence Jefferson. “Inconsistent passing, serving and hitting.
“One highlight was that Truli (Bates) had five blocks,” he mentioned.
The Lady Hornets only managed five kills and three aces in the match. Cali Rogers, Ivory Russ, Grace Camferdam, Brooke Abney and Grace Sams had the kills. Cora Edwards, Meredith Medford and Sams came up with the aces.
Sams led the defense with seven digs, Edwards had six.
The Lady Hornets will try to get back on track this Thursday when they host Russellville.
