Bryant Hornets baseball players Blaine Knight and Drew Tipton will be among those honored at the annual All-Arkansas Preps, presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. They will be among 300 of the best high school athletes and coaches from across the state in nine sports to be honored for their work during the 2014-15 school year at a banquet on June 20. Dick Vitale will be the guest speaker.
Tipton led the Hornets in hitting, batting .381; runs scored, 35, hits, 37, triples, 6 and stolen bases, 27. Knight was 6-2 with a save on the mound with a 1.34 earned run average. He led the team in innings pitched with 57 2/3 and struck out 77 with only three walks and one hit batsman.
The Hornets were 28-3 in 2015.
