Seven different players contributed to the scoring for the Bryant Lady Hornets junior varsity team on Tuesday night but the JV for the Hot Springs Lakeside Lady Rams escaped with a 35-34 win at Bryant High School gym.
“Our JV team is making steady improvement this season,” said Lady Hornets coach Brad Matthews. “It is really good that these young ladies are getting an opportunity to show their improvement in game situations. They are working in practice and that work is starting to show up in games.”
Destiny Martin led Bryant with 8 points. Reagan McCormick and Kendal Rogers added 7 each. Riley Hill scored 5, Lania Ratliff 4, Taylor Hill 2 and Deja Reyford 1.
Bryant led 7-3 after a quarter and 14-12 at the half. By the end of the third quarter, Lakeside had a 21-20 edge.
