With a 4-0 win over the Russellville Lady Cyclones junior varsity, the Bryant Lady Hornets JV[more] continued unbeaten and unscored upon in six matches this season.
Addie Chaloupka scored the first goal of the contest in the first two minutes. It didn’t take long before Emily Pierce added a goal.
Midway through the first half, Anna Lowery made it 3-0 and that score held until the half.
Midway through the second half, Lowery put the finishing touches on the scoring.
“Overall, it was actually our best JV game,” said Lady Hornets coach Julie Long. “We played really, really well. We moved the ball really well. The girls were constantly talking and constantly moving the ball.
“I think it was good for us to see some good competition,” she added. “I was pleased with how they played.”
The Lady Hornets varsity is set to play at Texarkana on Tuesday. On Thursday, both the varsity and JV host Cabot. Lake Hamilton visits on Friday.
