BENTON — The three jury orientation sessions scheduled for Friday, Dec. 6, have been postponed until Friday, Dec. 13, Saline County Circuit Clerk Dennis Milligan and Circuit Judge Gary Arnold announced Wednesday.
The decision to delay the orientation sessions was made because of the winter storm watch in effect for central Arkansas starting Thursday, Milligan and Arnold said.
In Saline County, a new jury panel is selected to serve for a four month term. A pool of 550 people is randomly selected from the list of registered voters. The orientation session will explain the rights and responsibilities of potential jurors for the term beginning Jan. 1, 2014.
There are three orientation sessions. The rescheduled sessions will be at the same times as previously scheduled.
