“Our sole purpose is to benefit the lives of the children in Saline County,” said Alicia Parsons, chair of the event. “We serve the children through education programs, partnering with the Boys and Girls Clubs in Benton and Bryant to send food home with those children in need during school breaks. And we partner with local school counselors to help meet the needs of students with clothing, shoes, food, personal hygiene products, etc.
“Our organization was started in 1971 by women in Saline County who saw a need and set out to meet it,” she added. “The ladies in our organization strictly volunteer their time. One hundred percent of our funds are used to support our service projects, which meet the needs of the children in our community. In order to meet our financial needs, we host several finance projects to raise funds. Our organization is supported by caring people in the community and local businesses.”
