“Overall this was not a good meet for us,” commented Hornets coach Steve Oury. “We did have some solid performances mixed in, but we have too many guys still battling nagging injuries. We had Caleb Thomas running on the 400 meter relay team for the first time this year, but he pulled up with the same hamstring injury he’s been battling and was only able to jog the baton to our anchor leg. I’m glad we have a pretty good break until the conference meet. We need the time to get healthy and get some good training in.”
The 7A-Central Conference meet will be held Wednesday, April 27, at Conway.
