CONWAY — Because of storms in central Arkansas including Conway, the Class 7A State championship baseball game has been[more] moved to Sunday at 6 p.m., at Bear Stadium on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.
Today's 3A State final between Elkins and Jessievelle was suspended due to lightning and will be continued starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the Class 5A final between Greenwood and Magnolia at noon, Class 6A between Jacksonville and Searcy at 2:30, and the Class 4A final between Prairie Grove and Shiloh Christian at 5.
Sunday's action will begin at 1 p.m. with the Class 1A final between Armorel and Viola followed by the 2A title game between Junction City and Parkers Chapel at 3:30. Bryant and Conway will play the finale at 6.
All of which is tentative with the threat of more storms.
