CABOT — Gage Pearson captured a conference championship in the 106-pound weight class on Saturday as the Bryant Hornets wrestling team finished third in the 7A-Central/East Conference Tournament on Saturday.
Pearson, along with four of his teammates, will advance to the Class 7A State meet to be held at UALR this Friday and Saturday along with the rest of the 14-member team.
Landon Smith was runner-up in the 170-pound class. Ross Smith, Ben Adair and Nathan Mayes were each third in their respective divisions. Smith wrestles in the 126-pound division; Adair in the 145-pound classification; and Mayes in the 195-pound division.
