FORT SMITH — Coming off an impressive and much-needed 67-65 win over the Texas High Tigers on Friday, Dec. 20, the Bryant Hornets get back in action today when they take on the Springdale Bulldogs in the opening game of the 2013 Coke Classic hosted by Fort Smith Northside High School at the UAFS Stubblefield Center. Tip-off is set for 2:30 p.m.
The Hornets bring in a 2-3 overall record but their last two setbacks were 65-63 against Jacksonville on Dec. 14, and 51-48 at Russellville on Dec. 17, prior to their win over Texarkana.
Along with Bryant and Springdale, both Northside and Fort Smith Southside are competing in the tournament along with Texas High. Defending Class 7A State champion North Little Rock will be competing as well as Arkadelphia and Subiaco Academy.
