CONWAY — Tyler Green shot a 78 and Austin Harmon an 80 to pace the Bryant Hornets golf team in a 12-team tournament at Conway Country Club on Monday.
Conway White, led by medalist Parker Rice’s 67, won the tournament with a composite score of 292. Bryant finished ninth at 332, just behind Greenwood (327) and ahead of Russellville (336).[more]
A pair of the Bryant girls competed among the girls at the match. It takes three to be included in the team scoring.
For the Hornets, Brandon Crosby shot a round of 84 with Payne Roberts finishing with a 90 to complete the scoring foursome. Chase Thornton carded a 102.
Conway also won the girls match with a team score of 258 paced by medalist Summer Roachell’s 74.
For Bryant, Savannah Cathey shot a 126 and Kaitlin Lawson finished at 151.
The Bryant teams return to action at Burns Park in North Little Rock on Monday, Aug. 16.
