So, how big of a Hornets fan are you?[more]
This Friday, the Bryant High School basketball teams open play in the 7A/6A-Central Conference at home against the Little Rock Catholic Rockets and the Mount St. Mary Academy Belles, respectively. As always, winning the conference opener is crucial and, as much as in any sport, basketball teams benefit greatly from a large, vocal, enthused crowd.
Will you be there to help?
The Hornets come into the game on a roll unlike any a Bryant boys team has enjoyed in years. With their win in the championship game of the Summit Bank Spa City Shootout last Friday, the Hornets have won 7 of their last 8 games. A deep and versatile team, Bryant is poised to be as competitive or more so than any Hornet team since joining the Central Conference in 2002-03.
Have you seen how much fun they are to watch? How about this Friday?
The Lady Hornets, though 8-6, should welcome a return to regular-season play. They are 5-0 in non-tournament games this season with all six of their losses coming in tournaments. It’s telling how much the team relies on solid preparation in the fact that, counting tournament-opening games, they are 7-1.

It could very well be an enjoyable evening for Bryant folks.
Are you planning to be on hand?
That question, and the others above, are particularly relevant this Friday. Why? Well, if you don’t know then there’s probably no conflict. But for local fans of the Arkansas Razorbacks football team, those are very pertinent questions. That’s because the Hogs will be playing Kansas State in the Cotton Bowl on Friday night.
