Austin Powell threw for two touchdowns and ran for two others as the Hornets JV peppered the Panthers’ secondary much of the night.
“We barely ran the ball,” acknowledged Hornets assistant coach Jason Hay.
Devon Sears caught a touchdown pass on a slant pattern near the goal line and Brodie Nixon hauled in a toss down the middle on a post route for the second TD pass in the second half.
“Both Devon and Brodie had a big night catching the ball,” Hay mentioned.
Defensively, Hornets assistant Brad Stroud lauded the play of Austin Dunahoo, Michael Smith, Kelton Shaw, Aaron Shuttleworth and Jared Koon.
The Bryant JV finished 8-0 on the season.
