A little more research into the Bryant Hornets’ offensive output against the Little Rock Catholic Rockets last Friday, reveals that the Hornets came within 16 yards of the school record for rushing in a single game with 371 yards on the ground.
The record was set in 1963 when the Hornets’ team piled up 387 yards on the ground in a 31-6 win over Magnet Cove, a 5A-South Conference rival in those days.
As shown below, no Bryant team had rushed for over 327 dating back through the 1998 season.
