The Bryant Hornets freshman team is set to scrimmage at Cabot High School Field against the North Panthers at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Each team will get 10 plays each on offense from its first, second and third teams then the two first teams will return to play a game simulation of two quarters with a running clock.[more]
Hornets coach Kenny Horn said he’ll be looking for execution from his team.
“I want to see if we can execute, especially up front,” he said. “We’re searching up front right now, offensively and defensively. We’re not real sure yet.
“I need to see if they can block on offense,” he added. “I need to see if we’re going to get off the ball good up front on the defensive line. I think if we can shore those two things up here, we’re going to be pretty competitive.”
Bryant opens its season officially at home against Searcy on Thursday, Sept. 3.
