The Bryant Hornets football team begins spring practice today with work in the fieldhouse due to the weather and the already soggy condition of the practice field.
Head coach Paul Calley said the team would be working in shoulder pads, helmets and shorts today and Tuesday, working on individual drills with hopes of getting on the field for some scrimmaging and team work on Wednesday.
"We've been teaching since February," he noted. "Now, we want to see the kids continue what they've learned but in pads."
Calley said the team will scrimmage some on most days this week and next, though there will not be a formal spring game this year.
