The Bryant Hornets B team, made up mostly of freshmen, improved to 13-0 on the season with two more wins on Monday night at Bryant Stadium. The young Hornets beat their counterparts from Lake Hamilton, 11-2 and 10-4.[more]
In the first game, Riley Hall pitched one-hit baseball for four innings. He walked four and struck out six. Hayden Daniel worked the fifth without giving up a hit. He walked a batter and struck out one.
Offensively, eight different Hornets had hits. Tyler Green, Blaine Jackson and Ozzie Hurt had two each including a double apiece. All three drove in two runs.
In the second game, Josh Davis went 2 for 3 with two driven in. Devon Sears had a two-run single.
Zach Cambron worked on the mound into the third, allowing three hits with five walks and three strikeouts. Quenton Motto relieved and allowed 2 hits with four strikeouts over the final 2 2/3 innings.
The B team will host Sheridan in its next outing on Monday, April 12.
