Holidays at Hurricane is returning for its fifth year to Hurricane Creek Elementary School. The community event hosts over 60 vendors from across Arkansas with over 1,000 shoppers expected. Vendors have the opportunity to sell the items they create and introduce new items to shoppers including jewelry, home and holiday decor, children’s items, fashion, handbags, plus much more. A bake sale and silent auction are also part of the two-day shopping tradition.
New this year will be live entertainment from the Bryant High School Honeybees and Bethel Choir.
The event kicks off with a Ladies Night on Friday, Nov. 1 from 6-9 p.m., and the doors open to everyone on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Professional photos are available from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., on Saturday with Santa and Mrs. Claus available to welcome children.
Holidays at Hurricane is sponsored by the Hurricane Creek PTO, which uses the proceeds to purchase technology and playground equipment as well as provide activities for students.
“Holidays at Hurricane is truly a school-wide effort,” said PTO president Jennifer Carlton. “Our students and staff design class baskets for the silent auction. Students create the decorations and teachers volunteer their time to bake items and work at the event. We invite everyone to come out and do some early holiday shopping.”
Admission is $3 for adults and children 12 and under free. A two-day armband is $5.
