NORTH LITTLE ROCK — Bryant junior Callie Hogancamp won a first-round match at the Class 7A State Tennis Tournament at Burns Park, advancing to the singles quarterfinals on Monday.[more]
Hogancamp defeated Kaylee Hamilton of Rogers Heritage High School, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. In the quarterfinal match, Conway’s Alex Taylor ended Hogancamp’s bid for a State title with a 6-0, 6-0 win.
Taylor lost in the semifinals to eventual champion Tiffany Tang of Rogers.
In addition, Bryant freshman Whitney Butler competed at State but lost in the first round to Ali Grahl of Fort Smith Southside, 1-6, 0-6.
