LITTLE ROCK – One high school football team will be chosen again this year to win some cash and the chance to be featured in some Summit Bank advertising. This honor will bring attention to the team’s program and $2,500 to support the school’s athletics department.
This is the second year for this contest. The Bismarck Lions took home the title last year. The contest is open to all central and southern Arkansas high school football teams which are encouraged to submit videos, photos, audio recordings or essays that answer the question: “What makes YOUR team special?”[more]
“At Summit Bank, we focus strongly on teamwork in order to provide our customers with the best banking services in our communities,” said Ross Whipple, Chairman and CEO of Summit Bank. “We want to emphasize the need for teamwork by having a contest driven by our local high school football teams. We want our local teams to tell us what makes their teams special.”
The submissions can be sent to teamwork@summitbankdirect.com and will be posted at www.summitbankteamwork.blogspot.com for the public to view. Entries can be sent as videos, photos, and audio recordings or in written form as an essay. If a team submits a video, they can upload their video to YouTube and email us an embedded link to the video. All teams are required to include a team photo and a response to the question, “What makes YOUR team special?” The contest begins on August 30th and entries must be received no later than Sept. 30.
The five-team finalists will be selected based on the creativity and thoughtfulness that goes into answering the question regarding what makes the team special, as well as the passion and interest shown by the team, coach and school. In addition to the $2,500 grand prize, Summit Bank will also have a community tailgate party for the winning community and award $500 to the other top four finalists and $200 to all schools who enter. The team’s coach and superintendent or his or her designee must approve the entries. Each participant in any Summit Bank advertisement must provide Summit Bank with a full release. A complete list of contest rules can be found on Summit Bank’s Facebook Page and at www.summitbankteamwork.blogspot.com.
