Bryant High School seniors Liana Jerry, Brodie Nixon, Sean Shuttleworth, Kristyn Baker, Jordan Murdock and Taylor Lewter have recently received some great news concerning scholarships to attend Henderson State University located in Arkadelphia.
The school has announced that Jerry and Nixon have been awarded the Presidential Academic Scholarship for 2011-12. According to Vikita Bell Hardwick, director at Henderson State University, the Presidential Academic Scholarship is[more] equivalent to in-state tuition plus room and board for up to four years, which equals approximately $33,728. Jerry is the daughter of Charles Jerry and Suzanne Fors. Nixon is the son of Ken and Cynthia Nixon.
Shuttleworth has been awarded the University Centurium Scholarship for 2011-12. According to Hardwick, the scholarship is equivalent to $2,500 per semester for up to four years. Shuttleworth was also awarded the Red and Gray Success Scholarship which is equivalent to $1,000 per semester for up to four years. He is the son of Ken and Janet Shuttleworth.
Baker, Lewter and Murdock have also been awarded the Red and Gray Success Scholarship for 2011-12. Baker is the daughter of Daniel and Jackie Baker. Lewter is the daughter of Darlene Sullivan. Murdock is the son of Richard and Phyllis Murdock.
