The Saline County Regional Solid Waste Management District (SCRSWMD) and the Youth Environmental Ambassadors are partnering with Recycle Bikes for Kids in Little Rock, in a Recycle Bike Drop off event on Oct. 17, from 8 a.m. to noon at Highland Heights Baptist Church, 1421 Alcoa Road in Benton.
Recycle Bikes for Kids will refurbish bicycles from the collection and give to kids who would otherwise not have one. The goal this year is to collect 300 bicycles.
In addition to the bicycle collection, the Saline County RSWMD will be collecting items for Household Hazardous Waste and Electronic Waste from Saline County residents. For a full list of materials accepted for Household Hazardous Waste go here.
