Chris Rycraw, the all-time leading rusher for the Bryant Hornets, and former Ouachita Baptist University star runner back, has been invited to participate in the Green Bay Packers’ rookie orientation camp as a non-drafted free agent.
The Packers agreed to deals with 15 college free agents in addition to their nine draft picks. Rycraw is among a group of seven other invitees that include only one other running back, James Sims of Kansas.
In a school record 556 rushing attempts over two-plus seasons, Rycraw accumulated 3,250 yards and 34 touchdowns at Bryant. His senior season of 1,651 yards eclipsed his school record 1,514 yards in his junior year. He ran for 17 touchdowns each season and, during the senior campaign, he also threw for a score and caught a TD pass.
