LITTLE ROCK – Goodwill Industries of Arkansas is now offering forklift training and certification to the public. The classes are offered the first Friday of the month at the Goodwill Resource Center at 7400 Scott Hamilton in Little Rock.
The forklift certification class is a one-day training that includes hands-on and classroom instruction. The certification meets OSHA standards and is licensed by the State Board of Private Career Education. Upon successful completion of the class, participants are awarded a forklift operator certification.
“Adding forklift certification to your resume makes you more appealing to an employer,” stated Dr. Stacey Hunter Schwartz, director of education and certificate programs at Goodwill. “Plus, you have the opportunity to increase your hourly wage and provide for your family with this added training.”
