Bryant Gardeners’ and Artists’ Market will begin Saturday, April 30. The market will be located on[more] the parking lot beside First Security Bank and Walgreen’s on Highway 5. It will begin at 7:30 a.m. and last until 2:30 p.m.
The market is, “Arkansas grown and produced only,” according to Jim Thompson, organizer.
Thompson wants to keep the produce as fresh as possible, and different than you can find in the grocery stores. There will also be a plant nursery.
Many different kinds of booths will be available, featuring fruits, vegetables, bread, baked goods, jams and jellies, fresh farm eggs. The inventory of fruits and vegetables will changed as seasonal items are harvested.
A full service food truck will be selling breakfast and lunch.
Jewelry and artwork will also be on display.
Thompson wanted to do the market because he was raised on a farm and wanted to share fresh food with others. “It makes a tremendous difference in people’s health,” he said.
The market will be every Saturday through October.
