CABOT — The Bryant Lady Hornets opened the 2016 volleyball season on the road and, though they played tough against the Cabot White Lady Panthers, absorbed an 0-2 setback, 20-25, 21-25.
“We played nervous,” said Lady Hornets coach Lawrence Jefferson. “But I was pleased with the effort.”
Grace Sams and Kenedy Kuchinski each had three kills for Bryant. Cora Edwards served for seven points in the first set while Erin Thompson served for nine points in the second.
The Lady Hornets are set to return to action with another road match on Thursday against Lake Hamilton.
