PEARCY — Brett Fisher scored a season-high 14 points as the Bryant Hornets freshman team put[more] together a second-half eruption that turned an 18-18 game into a 45-26 victory over the Arkadelphia Junior Badgers Wednesday.
The win, which improved the Hornets to 7-4 on the season, opened play in the annual Kameron Hale Invitational Tournament. Bryant advances to play Hot Springs Lakeside today at 4:30 p.m. Hornets coach Jim Pennington said Lakeside may have the best team his squad has faced this year.
John Winn and Brandan Warner added 8 points each, Ryan Hall 6, J.C. Newborn 4 and K.J. Hill 2.
