All Moms are invited by the Bryant High School football coaches to come learn the game of football in a fun, interactive atmosphere through "Football for Mommies" to be held Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Bryant Indoor Athletic Complex.
"This event is going to be anything but boring," said head coach Paul Calley. "Moms are such a vital part of our program and we want to help them understand the sport their child loves to play and support."
"Be prepared to laugh, learn and strengthen the sisterhood bonds of Bryant Hornets Moms," added Calley's wife Laryssa. "And it's not only for football moms but for cheer and dance moms and band moms."
Those attending are advised to wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
Food and refreshments will be served and door prizes will be given. Registration fee is $10 per person with proceeds to benefit the high school football program.
Coach Calley will cover offense with the participants; defensive coordinator Steve Griffith, defense; former Arkansas Razorbacks player J.J. Meadors, special teams; KATV sports reporter Mark Edwards, crowd participation; and David Grappe, football officials and their jobs on the field.
