The Bryant High School basketball teams return to action tonight[more] against . . . the last team they played.
On Tuesday, Feb. 8, before the latest round of snow, the Hornets and Lady Hornets traveled to Van Buren where both took it on the chin. Tonight, the Pointers and Lady Pointers return the visit and the Bryant teams hope to return the "favor".
The games mark the start of a gauntlet in which, due to weather-related postponements, Bryant will play seven games in 12 days to conclude the regular season. After tonight, they'll travel to Conway on Tuesday then host Cabot on Friday.
Originally, the make-up games with Little Rock Catholic and Mount St. Mary Academy were to be played on Saturday but those games have been moved to Thursday, Feb. 24, creating a four-game week to wrap up the regular season. On Monday, Feb. 21, Russellville visits Bryant. The Bryant teams then travel to North Little Rock on Tuesday, host Catholic/MSM on Thursday then finish up at home on Friday against Little Rock Central.
The Class 7A State Tournament begins at Heritage High School in Rogers on Wednesday, March 2.
