The November Finance and Personnel meeting that is held monthly in advance of the upcoming Bryant City Council meeting, was put off this month by Mayor Larry Mitchell due to a lack of a quorum.[more]
The aldermen, eight in total, were not available for the meeting. It takes at least five councilmen present at a meeting to constitute a quorum.
There are two run-offs for alderman positions in Bryant after the Nov. 2 elections, so therefore two of the councilmen could not be present.
The meetings will continue again next month. The Bryant City Council meeting is scheduled for next Thursday, Nov. 18, at City Hall beginning at 7 p.m.
The Finance and Personnel meetings are on the first Wednesday of every month, according to city hall scheduling.
