The football program and spirit squads of the Bryant School District from seventh grade to high school varsity will be showcased on Friday evening as part of the third annual Hornets Fan Fest at Bryant Stadium and the high school field house.
The event begins at 4:45 p.m., with a scrimmage between the seventh grade teams from Bethel Middle School (Bryant Blue), coached by Dale Jones, and Bryant Middle School (Bryant White), coached by Brad Smotherman. At 5:15, the eighth grade teams from each school will scrimmage.
The freshman team, led by head coach Kenny Horn, will hold an intrasquad scrimmage at 5:45 p.m., with the high school sophomore team commencing a similar workout at 6:15 followed by the junior varsity at 6:45. Head coach Paul Calley has said the varsity team may run a series or two along the way.
In addition, the dance and cheer teams at each level will perform during breaks in the action.
Fans are invited to meet Hornets players and coaches, shop and eat along with enjoying the scrimmages. Booths will be set up inside and outside of the field house showcasing Hornets gear and tailgating items among other things. Food vendors will be on hand as well.
