In September, the Family Church youth center burned to the ground after being hit by[more] lightning.
The building was fully insured and today construction of a new youth center is taking place on the church grounds on the east side of Interstate 30 in Bryant.
"We're excited that we were fully insured," Family Church pastor Perry Black said. "Now we can rise up out of the ashes and build a new youth center."
The youth center is expected to be 13,000 square feet upon completion with a large game room.
"We will have a greater and more effective outreach to the community," Black said.
