CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Trevor Ezell of Alexander has been named to the Southeast Missouri State University Dean’s List for academic achievement during the fall 2015 semester.
Ezell, who is studying Engineering at Southeast, graduated from Bryant High School in 2014.
As a freshman last spring, he earned Ohio Valley Conference all-Freshman team honors and was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association Freshman All-American second team.
At the plate for the Redhawks, Ezell hit .313, recorded 77 hits, 18 doubles, six triples, and four home runs. He knocked in 42 runs and scored 66. He drew a team-leading 41 walks and recorded a .423 on base percentage. He broke the single season at-bats record with 246 and fell one run shy of tying the single season runs record of 67. He also swiped 11 bases on the season.
At Bryant, he was the Arkansas Player of the Year his senior season, helping the Hornets win State championships in 2012 and 2014.
Students named to the list earned at least a 3.75 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, completed at least 12 hours of standard graded credit, achieved no grade below a B and received no failing grades in enrolled, credit/no credit or pass/fail courses.
