Bryant Hornets baseball players Trevor Ezell and Blaine Knight have been invited to participate in the 2013 National Team Identification Series in Cary, N.C., Aug. 22-25.
The program serves as a stepping-stone in USA Baseball’s National Team Athlete Development pipeline.
Last spring, Ezell, the Hornets’ shortstop, hit .512 to lead the team. He also paced the squad in runs (42), hits (49), runs batted in (30), doubles (10), triples (4), home runs (3) and stolen bases (29).
Knight, a pitcher, posted a 2-1 mark, striking out 23 batters in 17 1/3 innings.
