LITTLE ROCK — A tight game got away from the Bryant Blue Hornets eighth grade team in the third quarter at the Anthony Classic on Tuesday night.[more]
The Hornets trailed just 13-11 after a quarter, 24-22 at the half but then Little Rock Episcopal Collegiate pushed the lead out to 42-27 in the third stanza on the way to 47-35 win.
The Bryant Blue team includes Jake Acord, Austin Green, Ryan Hall, Jason Hastings, Brushawn Hunter, Andrew Kincaid, Blaine Knight, Brian Tackett, Paul Tierney, Brandon Warner, John Winn, Mark Winn, Dylan Wolf and Brendan Young.
Warner led the Hornets with 11 points. John Winn picked up 10. Mark Winn and Hall added 4 each. Wolfe pitched in with 3, Hunter 2 and Kincaid added a free throw.
Bryant Blue, now 1-2, wraps up play in the Classic this evening at 5:30 against Arkansas Baptist.
