The Saline County Economic Development Corporation has engaged Boyette Strategic[more] Advisors (BSA), an economic development consulting firm, to develop a Strategic Plan to guide economic development efforts of the county over the next five years enhancing current efforts to attract jobs and promote the area as a business location.
The plan will include identification of targeted business/industry sectors, along with strategic recommendations designed to position Saline County for economic development success based on its key assets.
Input from a broad cross-section of stakeholders will be a key component of developing this plan. One of the ultimate goals of this effort is to gain a vision for the economic future of the county. To accomplish this goal, the Saline County Economic Development Corporation is hosting a series of visioning sessions around the county over the next few weeks. All residents of the county are invited to attend any one of these sessions – it is not necessary for you to attend the session in your local community.
Following is the schedule of sessions:
January 15, noon at North Side Church of Christ fellowship hall in Benton
January 15, 6 p.m. at Bishop Park in Bryant
January 16, 2 p.m. at Ouachita Room at the Ponce de Leon Center, Hot Springs Village
February 4, 6 p.m. [Location to be determined in East End]
These sessions, which will last no more than an hour, will be led and facilitated by BSA, and will give participants an opportunity to share their thoughts and vision for the future of economic development in Saline County and obtain their perspectives on a variety of issues impacting preparation of this plan.
