Today around 12:30 this afternoon the Bryant Police Department received a call for possible child abuse at the Wisdom Tree Learning Center. When officers arrived on scene they met with the Supervisor and the victim’s mother who said she noticed carpet burns on her eighth-month old son last night after picking him up from the Child Care facility.
The childcare worker Keyuanna Coats admitted to investigators that she had taken the eighth-month old child and dragged him across the carpeted floor twice causing carpet burns to the child’s elbows. Coats said that she kept dragging the child because he kept getting into an area where they kept the cleaning supplies but said the she never intended to cause harm to him.
Keyuanna Coats was arrested at the Learning Center and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Minor (Class D Felony).
