Bryant's Aaron Davidson, son of Jerry and Diana Davidson, picked up his first official professional win with two innings of perfect relief in the Arizona Giants' 6-2 win over the Arizona Brewers in Class A half-season action on Monday.
It was Davidson's first relief appearance. He took over for starter Addison Proszek in the top of the fourth with the game tied 1-1. After striking out the first batter he faced, the right-hander induced four ground balls and a flyout in his two innings of work.
The Giants snapped the tie with a run in the bottom of the fourth then never trailed on the way to the win.
Lowering his earned run average overall this season to 5.32, Davidson has allowed just one run on eight hits in his last four appearances covering 14 innings. In that time, he's struck out 10 and has not issued a walk.
