The Bryant Hornets wrapped up what used to be called two-a-days this morning at[more] Bryant Stadium. The team has practiced three hours each day since the first of the month. With school starting on Monday, Aug. 20, they'll begin their normal fourth-block practice routine.
On Saturday, Aug. 18, from 8 a.m. to noon, the Bryant Football Booster Club will host the annual Hornet Fan Fare at the Stadium and in the Bryant Middle School gym. Hornet gear will be on sale, players will be available for pictures and autographs and head coach Paul Calley and his staff will be talking about the upcoming season.
Also on Monday, the Bryant Hornets freshman team will host Pine Bluff Jack Robey in a preseason benefit game, starting at 5:30 p.m. On Tuesday, the Hornets varsity hosts Little Rock Hall in a preseason benefit starting at 6 p.m. (As Arkansas Activities Association benefit games, only AAA passes will ber accepted. Admission will be $4 each night.
The Freshman Hornets open the season on Thursday, Aug. 30, against Hot Springs Lakeside following an eighth grade game between Bryant Blue (Bethel) and Lakeside at 5:30 p.m.
The Hornets' season commences on Friday, Aug. 31, at home against the rival Conway Wampus Cats. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.

The "Alpe Twins" are on the Hornet’s Freshmen Football Team this year, so the competition better watch out!!! All the players are awesome, we have a great team and a great coach! Lets not forget the Freshmen Cheerleaders and Drill Team, they ROCK! Everybody needs to come out on Thursday nights at 7pm and show your Bryant Hornet spirit.
