The March City Council meeting was held Thursday night at the[more] Boswell Municipal Complex.
The city approved a contract to hire an IT consultant and the bidding will take place soon and continue for 10 days. This action item came as a result of discussion from February's meeting when Mayor Jill Dabbs expressed the City's need to fill the position due to recent growth in Bryant.
Dayco Construction was one of the construction companies that worked on the Aquatic Center at Bishop Park. The City of Bryant is currently in a legal suit against Dayco Construction for incomplete work on the Aquatic Center.
The Council approved a motion to set aside $5,000 to retain an outside attorney to defend/prosecute Dayco.
The Council also approved to waive competitive bidding on the construction and installation of the Splash Pad at Bishop Park and approved the purchase of a dump truck for the MS-4 program.
