The seventh grade A and B girls teams from Carl Stuart Middle School in Conway visited the[more] Bryant Blue Lady Hornets of Bethel Middle School on Tuesday and came away with a pair of wins.
In the A game, Conway forged a 34-16 win. In the B game, Conway prevailed 13-8.
Bethany Hutchinson paced the scoring for Bryant Blue in the A game with 6 points. Riley Hill added 5, Kendall Rogers 4 and Alex Dillard 1.
Conway built a 12-4 lead in the first quarter and held an 18-10 edge at the half. By holding Bryant Blue to just 2 points in the third quarter, Conway Stuart took control of the game. It was 27-12 going into the fourth quarter.
In the B game, Penny Smith had 4 points for Bryant Blue. Reagan McCormick and Megan Kuchinski each contributed 2.
The Bethel team held a 4-2 lead after the first quarter but was unable to add to its total in the second period as Conway surged to an 8-4 lead by halftime. It was 10-6 going into the fourth quarter.
The Bryant Blue seventh graders play in a tournament Saturday at Bauxite.
