Bryant Mayor Larry Mitchell received a check on behalf of the city from Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block, which is a grant for small cities and counties.[more]
Bryant was selected to receive $275,095, which will be used to perform lighting retrofits in seven city-owned buildings and replace 10 city HVAC units.
These funds have been received through the Arkansas Energy Office with funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and will make the city eligible for incentives in the amount of $5,791.93 from Entergy.
The project is scheduled to be completed by March 3, 2011 and will require no grant matching monies from the city.
