The City of Bryant has received a Community Development Block Disaster Grant from the Arkansas Economic Development Commission for $394,780.[more]

The funds will be used to complete the upsizing of Forest Drive culverts and the stream segments leading to and from the Forest Drive crossing and to eliminate the low-water crossing that was created following the locally infamous April 2009 storm.

The low-water crossing has prevented Fire and Emergency vehicles access since then and the grant is critical in restoring access and to reduce further flooding.

This project is scheduled to be completed by April 25, 2011 and will require grant matching monies from the City of $18,084.
