BENTON — Everyone is invited to a prayer service that will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton to mark the arrival of the Silver Rose on its 28-state trek as part of the Running of the Rose.[more]
The Knights of Columbus Council 9396 of Benton has arranged to have the Rose, a symbol of the Order’s commitment to the pro-life cause and the unity among the people of the Americas, at the church.
Over the course of months, the Rose is carried from Canada through the U.S. to Mexico, making stops at just a select few parishes.
The final destination is the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City on Dec. 12, for the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patroness of the Knights’ pro-life cause.
