Sam O'Bryant has been campaigning in Ward 4 for alderman.[more]
"I'm still hitting the streets and knocking on doors trying to make one big push during this last week before election day," O'Bryant said. "I can honestly say that this has been a fun experience. I've met a lot of people and I've gotten a chance to hear a lot of stories."
O'Bryant has been sitting on a few porches in his Ward and listening to different citizens.
"It's made running for office an even greater responsibility," he said. "I can see why people look toward their elected officials with so much respect. It is up to us to make things a little bit easier for them. They depend on us for so much."
O'Bryant is running against Brenda Miller, the current alderman of Ward 4.
Rob Roedel is running for the vacant seat that alderman Ken Green now holds in Ward 3.
"The campaign seems to be going well,” Roedel said. “My team has visited many of the residents of Ward 3 and have learned many of their concerns. I plan to continue campaigning until Tuesday. This will include additional door-to-door visits, placing additional yard signs, sending e-mails, sending letters and making phone calls to Ward 3 residents."
There are approximately 1,750 residents in Ward 3 and Roedel is planning to meet them all.
