Bryant head coach Paul Calley will join former Bryant coach and Bryant High School alum Daryl Patton to help coach the U.S. Under-18 Select Football Team for the International Bowl on Feb. 5, 2016 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
Patton, the head coach at Fayetteville High School, served as the offensive coordinator for the U.S. Under-17 team, which defeated its counterpart from Canada earlier this year in the International Bowl. He was named as head coach of the Under-18 team for the 2016 team and asked Calley to join him on the staff.
“I’m really looking forward to coaching with Paul again,” Patton said.
Calley, who has led Hornets teams to more wins that any in the history of the program’s history, was offensive line coach and co-offensive coordinator during Patton’s stint as head coach at Bryant from 1998 to 2002. He became head coach of the Hornets in 2003.
The game features the top players from around the country for practice Feb. 1-5 concluding with games against similar teams from Canada. The Under-18 team will feature players who are currently juniors in high school.
The game will be played at 4 p.m., at the home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys, on Feb. 5. It will be televised on ESPN3.
