The Cabot South Lady Panthers eighth grade team took a lead in the second quarter and gradually built it up to a 33-17 win over the Bryant White Lady Hornets of Bryant Middle School on Saturday morning.
The Lady Hornets, now 6-5, are set to host Lake Hamilton on Monday, Jan. 26. There will be a B game with Bryant Blue on Tuesday, Jan. 20.
Kalia Walker led Bryant White with 5 points. Meagan Chism and Allison Steen each had 4 with Faith Stone and Lexi Helton scoring 2 apiece.
The game was tied 4-4 after a quarter. Cabot South managed an 11-7 lead by halftime then led 21-15 going into the fourth quarter.
