FAYETTEVILLE — The Bryant High School tennis season ended Monday with three losses[more] in the Class 7A State Tennis Tournament at the University of Arkansas tennis facility.
In girls singles, Whitney Butler lost to Kaylee Hamiliton of Rogers Heritage 1-6, 2-6 and Callie Hogancamp lost to McKenna Kraus of Bentonville 1-6, 0-6.
In boys singles, Cade Howard lost to Justin Pollard of Bentonville 0-6, 4-6.
“Cade made a mild comeback in the second set to take a 4-3 lead, but lost the final three games,” noted Hornets coach Steve Wilson.
“This is the most we’ve taken to State since I have been here,” he said of his trio of players. “It was the second appearance for Callie and Whitney. Cade and Whitney will both be back next year.”
